Reid All About Us: 4 months old

Where has the time gone? I can't believe it's already been four months since you came into our lives.
You've changed so much in the last 17 weeks...

you're kicking and moving and wiggling all over (we call you "Kickin' Chicken")
you LOVE taking "bathies" in the kitchen sink (we hope this means you're going to like swimming when you get older!)
on Monday, September 5th (15 weeks old) you rolled over! You had been napping (on your tummy) in your crib, and when daddy went in to get you, you were on your back! Now you're doing this on a daily basis. It's so fun to come into your room and see your smiling face in the morning :)
in the last week or so, you've really found your voice; you shriek and coo and grunt and cough... yes, that's right, I said cough. It's this weird fake cough, and you stick your tongue out when you do it. Grandma Kristie says your mommy did this when she was little and has nicknamed it "social coughing." You also make this creepy Darth Vadar-like throat noise, which also coincides with sticking out your tongue (hoping to catch this on video soon!)
you've been teething for 2 months now, which has made for some very unpleasant days - and nights. Your gums are always puffy and red, and you gnaw on your hand so much that your knuckles turn red! Sometimes you bite/gnaw on your hand so hard that you grunt - it's very funny & cute, but we feel so bad for you :( We can see your two bottom teeth starting to make their way upwards, and we cannot wait for the day when they finally cut through! Everyone tells us that you'll feel much better after those first teeth actually cut through your gums. Hurry up teeth!!
no need to worry about your bowels; they are obviously working VERY well... There are days when mommy has to change your clothing and/or bedding multiple times because of "blow-outs." Daddy says your poop smells like popcorn. As weird as it sounds, it's true! It smells like a Buttered Popcorn flavored Jelly Belly, to be exact. And we can usually tell when there's been a diaper explosion, because when we walk into your room it smells like popcorn. A few weeks ago, daddy picked you up out of your crib in the morning, and was met with a big, messy surprise when he put his hands under you to pick you up. I believe he called it a "poop sandwich" and said that his hands were the bread... hahaha!
you're hand-eye coordination is developing with each day; you're grabbing at toys and putting things in your mouth. You're also starting to watch people talk and eat, and you love to watch music videos and concerts on tv and the computer. We're hoping this means you'll love music and concerts as much as your mommy and daddy do :)
