Wisconsin, Chicago... and a new tooth!

Last weekend concluded our crazy month of traveling.  Natalie, Finn, Murphy and I drove to Wisconsin on Thursday, while Marty flew to Chicago to celebrate Bobby's 30th birthday on Saturday.  It was a great weekend spent catching up with lots of family and friends.  While we were there, Natalie turned 5 months old...and cut her first tooth! (on her actual 5-month birthday: October 22, 2011)

Aunt Heather was a huge help all weekend - my back thanks you HK!

we love G.C.

Natalie LOVED her great-grandma Connie!

Murphy doesn't like sharing Grandpa's attention :)

I love this photo so much that I had to post it twice

We ended our weekend with a stop in Chicago to pick Marty up from Bobby's.  Marty's cousin David came over to meet Natalie - I love this picture!

I attempted to snap a photo of her first tooth...

It started with smiles...and ended with screaming.  Pretty standard these days.  But, if you look closely, you can see that new tooth peeking through...

Natalie has changed so much in the last few weeks.  She does a lot of smiling and "talking" and is a real wiggle-worm.  She likes to lay on her back and reach for her toes, squeal loudly, put any & everything she can get her hands on into her mouth, and she does this funny coughing that we refer to as "social coughing."  She also LOVES to jump up and down in the Jumperoo and anytime she's on our laps.  (I'm hoping to catch all of these things on video soon)

She has started eating solids; so far she's tried rice cereal, pears, prunes and applesauce.

YUM!

flapping her arms & kicking her legs with excitement

She enjoys her furry brother & sister more and more each day.  Finn still shows more interest in Natalie than Murphy does.  He follows us from room to room throughout the day, and is always eager to greet her in her crib when she wakes up from a nap.  And he loves to smell her breath and lick her toes after a bath :)

22 weeks old!

I'm a week behind on posting this, and today (Saturday, October 29) Natalie cut her 2nd tooth, right next to her first one.  I'll try to get a pic and post it later.  We're headed over to our neighbors' house for a little UW vs Ohio State rivalry football party.  Marty's in the kitchen, frying up some South Buffalo style wings to take over...yummy :)

Until next time,
xoxo

October 1st

We made our first of two trips to Buffalo the weekend of October 1st for a friend's wedding, and managed to squeeze in a few visits with family & friends.  We got to spend a few hours at Papa's house (Marty's grandpa) and I got some great photos of Natalie & her Great-Grandpa Joe.

I love how she's looking at him in this photo!

so cute!

Natalie also spent a lot of quality time with her Grandma Kathy, who takes such good care of her - and spoils her rotten :)

look-a-likes!

she's starting to hold the bottle on her own!

She turned 19 weeks old that weekend.  Here's her weekly crib shot, taken when we got home...

and here's the very first crib photo I took of her the day we brought her home from the hospital...

3 days old

and here she is at 1 week old...

PLEASE STOP GROWING SO FAST!!!

I can't believe she's going to be 5 months old on Saturday (Oct 22).  I am SO excited to spend the weekend with my mom, dad and sister in Wisconsin.  I'm sure there will be lots of photos to share when I get back :)

21 weeks old & another weekend in Buffalo

We just spent another whirlwind weekend in Buffalo; we celebrated Julie Brown's 30th birthday, Tim & Colleen Barrett's wedding, visited Grandpa Joe Reid, saw a ton of family and friends, and even managed to fit in a pedicure for Grandma Kathy & Mommy :)

she loves Julie :)
